Everest is popularly known as Sagarmatha in Nepal, which means “the forehead of the sky”. In Tibet, it is called “Chomolungma”. Everest is the world’s tallest mountain proudly standing on the height of 8848 m. It is located at the Mahalangur Himal subrange of Nepal Himalayas. Standing between the border of Tibet and Nepal, this tallest mountain soars the heavens seemingly piercing the unimaginably blue skies.
You can observe the panoramic view of Everest, Amadablam, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, and many other peaks. During your Everest Base Camp Trekking, Sagarmatha National Park is one of the prime attraction established on July 19, 1979, A.D. Nepalholiday team takes you to Everest Base Camp Trekking through a wilderness of oak and rhododendron.
You can observe various endangered Himalaya flora and fauna which has been conserving by National Park as its major objective.
Along with nature, Everest Trek takes you through the historical and spiritual Tengboche Monasteries which is located at the altitude of 3,867 m. This monastery is the main spiritual centre of the Everest region. The main inhabitant of this region is Sherpa people.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (Tribhuvan International Airport) (1,345 m/4,412 ft) (A)
After landing in Kathmandu, our office representative will take you from airport to the hotel. You can rest and in evening meet up with the Nepalholiday team.
Day 02: Pre-trip meeting and trek preparation (A, B)
Today you will have a pre-trip meeting. Today we will meet your trekking guide and other members attached with the trek. You will also be provided a short briefing about our conscious journey to Everest Base Camp Trekking. You can also ask if you have any extra queries related with this trip. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding(2,652 m/8,699 ft), 40 mins fly and 3-4 hrs trek (A, B, L, D)
Early morning we fly to Lukla and meet our remaining team there. Lukla is the trek starting point of every Everest destination. After reaching to Lukla, we trek 3-4 hours to reach Phakding that day.
Day 04: Phakding to Namche bazaar (3,438 m/11,277 ft), 5-6 hours trek (A, B, L, D)
After breakfast, we will start our trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar through beautiful Khumbu village. During the trek our main attractions include, pine forst, Dudh Koshi river etc. We enter Sagarmatha National Park today. Sagarmatha National Park preserves various species of floras and faunas. Namche Bazaar is also one of the major attractions as it probably is one of the biggest town of Everest region. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Day 05: Acclimatization Day (A, B, L, D)
Today is the rest day to avoid high altitude problems. You can also hike up early morning to Sagarmatha National Park to enjoy the sunrise view including beautiful Mt. Lhotse (8516 m), Mt. Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and so on. You might also observe Namche Bazaar which has small and beautiful market. We will visit the Hillary and Sherpa museum. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.
Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870 m/12,694 ft), 5-6 hours trek (A, B, L, D)
This day we will first have easy trail and we climb uphill to reach Tengboche. Tengboche village provides beautiful Himalayan panorama of the mountains mentioned in Day 05. This place is famous for the monastery called “Tengboche Monastry”. It is the biggest monastery of Everest region and located in Sagarmatha National Park.
Day 07: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/14,301 ft), 5-6 hours trek (A, B, L, D)
Today after breakfast we start our trek to Dingboche which take 5-6 hours of both ascending and descending. During the trek you can feel Mt. Lhotse and Mt. Amadablam closer than before which signifies you are more near to your dream destination. You reach Dingboche crossing the Imja Tse River, Imja valley, Pangboche monastery and many others eye catching views. Dingboche is a beautiful village conserving there lifestyle since long. Overnight at Dingboche.
Today we will stay at Dingboche to ignore the high altitude problem which might arise due to climbing high too frequently. In the morning we will enjoy the view of 3 eight thousand meter peaks: Mt. Lhotse (8516 m), Mt. Makalu (8463 m) and Mt. Cho oyu (8201 m) including few other beautiful peaks. Overnight at Dingboche.
Day 09: Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940 m/16,203 ft), 5-6 hours trek (A, B, L, D)
We start our trek after breakfast and head towards Lobuche passing the first successful Everest Mountaineering Expedition in 1953 AD. We pass through steep Khumbu Glacier watching the mesmerizing view of Mt. Nuptse. Overnight at Lobuche.
Day 10: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170 m/16,958 ft) and visit Everest Base Camp (5,364 m/17,594 ft) same day, 6-7 hours trek (A, B, L, D)
This day you will see the Everest from the nearest form. Firstly we should cross the glaciers way and the rough trails. Then you will reach your dream destination, the main destination you have booked the package for. Everest Base Camp is adorably beautiful. You will observe beautiful Himalaya panorama from this place. We will return back to the Gorak Shep same day. Overnight at Gorak Shep.
Day 11: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545 m/18,188 ft) to Pheriche (4,288 m/14,065 ft), 7-8 hours trek (A, B, L, D)
Today we start our trek to Kala Pathhar. We can feel cold wind as we will start our trek early morning today. After reaching Kala Pathhar you can observe the breath taking views of world’s tallest mountain, Mt. Everest (8848 m) and other eight thousand meter mountains like Mt. Lhotse (8516 m), Mt. Makalu (8463 m) and Mt. Cho oyu (8201 m). After observing the majestic view from the view point of Kala Pathhar we will start our journey back to Pheriche. Overnight in Pheriche
Day 12: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m/11,283 ft), 6-7 hours trek (A, B, L, D)
We return to Namche Bazar today. We have to go through various uphill and downhill and through the forest of various floras and faunas in today’s trek. In this route you can enjoy the views of Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Nuptse and various other mountains. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Day 13: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,860 m/9,381 ft), 6-7 hours (A, B, L, D)
Today we will mostly descent whole day to reach Lukla. We can enjoy the view and sound of Dudh Koshi River during our trek. We pass through few monasteries and bridges to reach Lukla. Today is the last day of our trek so you can enjoy the last moment of you in mountains today. Overnight in Lukla.
Day 14: Fly to Kathmandu (A, B)
Today we will early fly from Lukla to Kathmandu. You can rest for some time and make a final preparation for your departure tomorrow. You can also do some shopping as today will be the last day of you in Nepal.
Day 15: Spare Day (A, B)
Today we keep spare day for you to rest from this long adventurous walk. After rest, you can make a final preparation for your next day departure. You can also do some shopping in Kathmandu.
Day 16: Final Departure (B)
Your day in Nepal ends today. A member of Ecofriendly team will leave you up to airport 3 hours before your flight duration.
